A Possible Jake Plummer Sighting

Stopped by the Neurolux, (local low rent dive bar who has a kick ass owner that features live acts occasionally during the week) and enjoyed a 2 hour show involving Mickey & the Motorcars. Good times had by all, and lo and behold, there was Jake Plummer look alike there, standing next to me. The only thing I noticed, was that he shot down some local slumpbuster looking for a good time and that made me laugh. It was a noble effort however. If it was Jake, he had no entourage and was genuinely enjoying the music......

This weekend should entail plenty of fun and debauchery up in the mountains in Challis, Idaho where these local celebrity hometown kids join their Dad and Uncles for a fun time, The Braun Brothers Reunion.

Good to see Jake using his time wisely!!! Former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer and older brother Eric advanced to the semifinals of the Colorado Open handball championships over the weekend at the Denver Athletic Club. The Plummers were defeated in the semifinals by eventual champions Bear Meiring and Jay Sprenger. The Plummers upset the No. 2-seeded team to make it to the semifinals. "The Plummers did great. We had them seeded in the middle and they were really strong," tournament director Stan Wolpoff said. Plummer retired from the NFL after 10 seasons on March 2.

So in recent weekend news,

Jake the Snake aka Jason Steven Plummer has been seen at the local high school filling application for the Offensive Coordinator position ( Mountain View High, to be exact but does it matter...). Good Luck to Jake.....( DID YOU KNOW- Jake's brother* was super-freakin-fast and ran track at Brown University...props to my memory bank and remembering that from about 10-12 years ago when I ran across him playing in a softball tourney...)

At the same time, though, I'd feel like a prick if I was mean to Jake Plummer for nearly has entire career, and just decided to be nice to him when he retired... so I offer this advice to his Peace Corps superiors. Don't let Jake be the guy throwing bottles of water to thirsty children. They would surely be intercepted by rebel forces.

Not to mention his wedding cancellation in Hawaii......oops.... that is for another day...
