Break out the honey do list

Since there is no college football on this weekend, and coming off a near 40 point blowout BSU basketball loss at the hands of BYU, you might as well get the honey do list out of the way. My reasoning, then there can not be any bitching when the bowl season kicks off, with Wake Forest vs Navy on Dec. 20th. Get the Christmas/Festivus shopping out of the way....and BINGO, you are good to lounge around for the remaining 2 weeks. Seriously, take the next 2 weeks off from work- enjoy good food, good times with Family, and if you are fortunate and/or wealthy enough, go ahead and attend a bowl game or two.

Heading into tomorrow's nights Heisman show, I agree with the cynics that this is a close race.....I could see any one of the three winning-

Sam Bradford Colt McCoy and Tim Tebow but I wonder if Tim Tebow fans around the word will adorn their favorite windshields with this message.... pic compliments of EDSBS!

Tebow...just to say I saw one of two players repeat. Throw out the stats...in a streetfight, I would pick Tebow. Whatever happened to this campaign? Hint- I am still disappointed the true potential of this athlete was never realized!!!

As I lay here struggling with my fantasy football future in limbo....need the Redskins to score some points since I am going against the Ravens defense. If that happens, I happen to backdoor my way into the playoffs....

Since their is nothing more boring than listening to another person's fantasy team, let us move into the realm of the College Bowl predictions....

Notre Dame does not deserve to head to Hawaii to play (take a vacation) vs the the Rainbow Warriors but it is going to happen.....maybe the Golden Domers need some Poly blood to come play for them in South Bend?

Since BYU has decided to sell out Sam Boyd stadium....they have chosen to take on the lesser known Mike Stoops and the Arizona Wildcats.....

Here is an open invitation to Scott Van Peezy....if he wants to attend the Maryland vs Nevada tilt....he has free room and board in this town. Van Pelt is a stud on ESPN and can totally relate to the common people when he opines with common sense. Who would not want to switch seats with that guy for one day.....be it in the radio booth or sportscenter broadcast. Plus he is not afraid to admit he enjoys a Old Style draft at Wrigley....this pic below is probably the most overused Van Pelt pic but it probably shows an accurate description of how laid back the kid is.

- no doubt Tim Tebow was good...but this good. The kid is a stud and hopefully he returns next year to be the first 3 time Heisman winner....just sayin'.....Just want to see it. Not that he is returning but....

As for the BCS matchups as predicted with a Florida vs Oklahoma title game in the works...pic below is from deadspin

Fiesta Bowl: Texas vs. Ohio State Longhorns score 45 plus in snore
Sugar Bowl: Alabama vs. Utah BAMA cleans up against an overrated Ute squad
Orange Bowl: Cincinnati vs. Virginia Tech cure for insomnia..something good has to come from it
Rose Bowl: USC vs. Penn State Penn State is the oft overlooked one loss team, but this will be a blood bath...USC has some fun and Pete Carroll asks for a playoff in the postgame interview!


As for what happens from here.....a lot of people have made travel plans to San Diego for the matchup against TCU. Would local people be upset if they had to reschedule those plans if the BCS head honchos pulled their head out of the heinies and picked an undefeated BSU team vs taking a Ohio State- that will routinely take a throng of 100k fans to whatever BCS game they are about to be routed in? Notice no mention of Ball State or the H-Bowl game.....they do not need the extra ribbing....

While Army did not put up a good fight in the annual rivalry game....at least they went stealth with their new enforcer jerseys....

- I hope USC pummels UCLA while not using a single timeout all game
- Hawaii pride....beat the BCS-headed Bearcats of Cincy....which is just a ludicrous statement....
